Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, said on Saturday that it was a ‘wrong practice’ by students to visually form the chief guest’s name during the Independence Day celebrations.
Earlier on Saturday, a photo of Kejriwal’s name written with placards in Chhatrasal Stadium, the venue of today’s Independence Day celebrations, had gone viral on social media.
Kejriwal, who was the chief guests there, said he was not aware that some student “would do this.”
He tweeted, ” Some school students made visual formation of my name during independence celebrations. I was not at all aware that students would this. I’m told it has been a practice in Delhi government to form visual formation of whoever the chief guest is.”
