The victim’s uncle is accused of having intoxicated her with sedatives mixed in cold drink at his house before raping her repeatedly. The girl, according to the complaint filed by her father, lived in Delhi and had come to stay with her uncle and aunt at their house in Noida.

Her father found her unconscious when he arrived at his brother-in-law’s house on Tuesday. She reportedly told her father that her uncle had been giving her the cold drink everyday for the last few days, causing her to lose her consciousness.

The father immediately approached the cops at Sector 20 police station and file a complaint.

Noida’s Superintendent of Police (City), Arun Kumar Singh, told Janta Ka Reporter that the accused was the victim’s mausa (mother’s sister’s husband). “We’ve filed an FIR based on the complaint and the victim has been sent for medical examination. The accused, the girl’s mausa, has also been arrested,” he said.

News agency PTI quoted an official of Sector 20 police station, “An FIR was lodged on a complaint by the girl’s father around 6.45 pm. The father alleged that the uncle of the child had raped her after giving her sedatives at their home.”

He has been booked for rape, criminal intimidation and related offences. He has also been booked under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he said.

He said that the police were further quizzing the uncle, while the girl has been sent for medical examination
