Actor Shahid Kapoor os a family man and we’ve seen examples of his commitment to his wife Mira Rajput on more than one occasion in the past.
The actor was recently spotted at Mumbai Airport holding wife Mira Rajput’s hands as the couple left for Delhi, the latter’s home town. Mira is pregnant with her second child and the couple was expected to go for babymoon, but Shahid has had to cancel the plan following his shooting commitments.
A report by Mumbai Mirror said that after the last schedule of Batti Gul Meter Chalu kicked-off recently, the actor had decided to put the vacation on hold. He is reportedly reworking his schedule to wrap up the social drama before he begins the shoot of the Arjun Reddy remake.
“Shahid had decided to spend quality time with Mira and Misha [daughter] in June before he begins training for Arjun Reddy. But now that the Batti Gul schedule is likely to run into June, he has called off the trip. He wants to ensure that his commitment to this film doesn’t spill over to that of Arjun Reddy, the shoot of which is lined up for July,” a source was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, unperturbed by the postponement of their babymoon plans, Mira posted a heartfelt message on Tuesday urging people why it was important to clean their beaches, where plastic items were strewn all over the place just before the arrival of the monsoon.
She wrote, “To the Million who can see this post. Even a pot of water won’t boil just by looking at it; it needs that fire to make it simmer, boil and spill over till someone notices. Let’s make a change, clean up our mess, and hear nature’s call not to choke her more than she already is.
“Every year before the arrival of the monsoon, all the plastic that clogs the sea is thrown out by it. This makes it the best time to clean the beach and simultaneously the water.
Let’s do this together and clean up Juhu Beach. We owe it to our children who play in the sand, the teams that play their football and cricket matches on it, the walkers and the yogis, the dogs that roam enthusiastically and the birds that forage for their feed. Thank you all for all the suggestions you have sent in, people I should get in touch with, and your concerned responses as well. Let’s spread the word! Calling all concerned citizens, organisations, individuals who can help and help me be a part of this too!”
Social media users extended support to Mira for her call to clean the beaches. One user wrote, “May u get all the support from all over.” Another user commented, “Dear Mira, you are right . Unfortunately, in my country too , the beaches are very dirty and it’s very uncomfortable.”
