After Delhi CM Kejriwal and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s reactions to LK Advani’s “Emergency” remarks, now Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani is comparing the ‘declared emergency’ which took place 40 years back to the ‘undeclared emergency’ which has been going on for the last one year.

“LK Advani is comparing the ‘declared emergency’ which took place 40 years back to the ‘undeclared emergency’ which is ongoing for last one year. It is in the hands of the leaders to keep democracy alive and the present Prime Minister do not believe much in democracy,” said Azad.

Advani had earlier in an interview to an English daily said that he did not see any sign in India’s polity that assured him of any outstanding aspect of leadership, adding that he did not have the confidence that a situation like the Emergency would not be repeated in the country.
