Tomar taken to Munger, Delhi Police reaches Bhagalpur University

In a recent development in the Jitendra Singh Tomar alleged fake degree controversy, Tomar has been taken to Munger, Bihar for further probe. Reportedly, a five member-Delhi Police team has also reached Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar to carry oout further investigation.

Earlier today, reports suggested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is unhappy with former state Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar after RTI shown by latter to take Kejriwal into confidence was found to be fake, and the party may also expel him for the same.

Tomar, who was arrested on Tuesday without any prior notice for an ‘alleged fake LLB degree‘, told a news agency, “My degree is real. This is a conspiracy by the Central Government.” He further assured the public that he would win the case and soon work with the party again. Following the arrest, Tomar also resigned from the party on ‘moral grounds’.

The matter would be heard on June 16, a day when Tomar’s four-day police custody ends.
