BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dismiss the AAP government of Delhi led by Arvind Kejriwal to ensure better ‘law and order.’

Swamy tweeted, “One thing is now clear: Modi cannot assure law and order in Delhi unless Shri 420 Naxalite Delhi NCT government is not dismissed, as per the Constitution.”

Swamy’s suggestion came days after Delhi witnessed large-scale violence during the farmers’ tractor rally. At least one farmer was killed in the violence. The Delhi Police had said that the farmer died after his tractor overturned.

Home Minister Amit Shah, who controls the Delhi Police, had come under criticism for the deteriorating law and order in India’s national capital coinciding the Republic Day celebrations.

Kejriwal had said that the violence on Republic Day was unfortunate, adding that it will not end farmers’ movement against the Farm Laws.

This is not the first time that Swamy has addressed Kejriwal as Shri 420Reacti9ng to the Delhi chief minister’s inability to contain COVID-19 cases in July last year, Swamy had said, “I am impressed that Gujarat accounts for only 1.6% of the Coronavirus cases in India while Delhi accounts for 9%. Shree 420 only appears on TV daily but does nothing for Delhi.”
