Strong earthquake shakes northern Japan, no Tsunami warning yet

A strong earthquake measuring 6.5 on Richter Scale has struck off the coast of Hokkaido in northern Japan.

However, some news outlets have reported the magnitude to be at 6.7.

The quake which shook north Japan, hit the region at about 9 am IST.

There are no reports of any Tsunami warnings yet. There are also no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
