Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain on Friday filed criminal defamation case against his former colleague Kapil Mishra and the newly elected BJP-SAD MLA Manjinder S Sirsa in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court.
Mishra held water and tourism portfolios in Delhi government before being sacked by Arvind Kejriwal for ‘non-performance.’
Mishra had then made stunning allegations against Kejriwal and Jain accusing the latter of paying Rs 2 crore in cash to the Delhi chief minister at his residence. However, the ACB chief MK Meena had later clarified that Mishra did not discuss the Rs 2 crore claim when the latter went to meet him.
Mishra had also alleged that Jain helped Kejriwal’s relatives secure lands worth Rs 50 crore. The relative in question, Kejriwal’s brother-in-law, has died since then.
Contrary to the official reports, sources told Janta Ka Reporter that Mishra was shown the door from the cabinet because of ‘anti-party activities’ particularly after aligned himself with Kumar Vishwas. Vishwas, according to media reports, was allegedly plotting a coup against Kejriwal.
