An RTI seeking the total number of security guards allocated for BJP President Amit Shah has been declined by the government, saying the security to an individual is provided on the basis of assessment of threat carried out by security agencies.
The government also said in the reply to the RTI that in regard to expenditure on providing security, the same information is neither compiled nor available centrally.
Shah has been at the forefront of various party decisions in the recent past. He recently asked senior leaders to take action on various scams that have engulfed the government including the deadly Vyapam scam, that has taken over 47 lives.
Earlier yesterday, Jantakareporter.com also published a story depicting how the PMO and EC refused to ‘divulge’ details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s educational qualifications.
