Rijiju urges security forces to be abreast with latest counter-terrorism strategies

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Friday urged security and law enforcement forces to remain vigilant in order to tackle terrorism and be abreast of the latest counter-terrorism strategies and technology.

According to an official release issued, the minister spoke after attending a function at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVP-NPA) in Hyderabad to mark the valedictory session of the Third Counter Terrorism Course and 31st IPS Induction Training Course.

Addressing the course participants as well as IPS officer trainees, he acknowledged the extremely difficult task performed by security forces to maintain order and internal security, the release said. Earlier, he laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and inaugurated the newly-constructed officers’ club building at the academy, the release further mentioned.
