Poll strategist, Prashant Kishor has conceded that Aam Aadmy Party was ahead in Pubjab but added that the existing advantage for the party will change.

Quoting sources close to Kishor, NDTV reported that the strategist was confident Thursday’s results will “have no effect on Punjab.”

Kishore was credited with helping Narendra Modi script impressive win in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. More recently, Kishor had helped Nitish Kumar secure a landslide victory against the BJP in Bihar last year.

Kishor reportedly conceded that “Right now, AAP (Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party) has the edge in Punjab, but there’s a long time to go for the elections. The fight in Punjab is between the Congress and AAP, the Akalis are out.”

Punjab is scheduled to go for polls next year and AAP has stepped up its campaign with an intention to replicate the party’s electoral success in Delhi.
