The latest season of Salman Khan’s reality TV show Dus Ka Dum was aired on Sony TV after a gap of nine years on Monday evening.

A lot has happened since Salman anchored the show on the Indian TV nine years ago. He’s gone on to become the most reliable Bollywood brand and smashed all sorts of box office records. He’s also become the most famous TV show host, thanks to the soaring popularity of Bigg Boss.

Salman took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that Dus Ka Dum will be aired on Sony at 8.30 pm after a gap of nine years. He wrote, “Do wat ever u want to do man today but b4 8.30pm .. bcoz today is the 1st airing of #DUSKADUM after 9yrs ! hope the connect is still thr n u will enjoy it. #DusKaDumTonight on @SonyTV.”

Salman social media post also carried a photo of him with one of the contestants of his reality show.

Barring few quirky responses such as ‘8.30 ko namaz ka time hai .10.30 tak before this time do whatever you do man but don’t miss namaz,’ an overwhelming number of social media users gave their instant approval to Dus Ka Dum. One user on Instagram wrote, “Today’s episode was awesome, I am so happy to see you again in Dus Ka Dum. I promise that I will never miss any episode.” Another user wrote, “Superbly outstanding show.” Thousands of other users too expressed similar sentiments.

Last week, while speaking at the launch of the show, Salman had said, “”This show came in first in 2008, and I marked my TV debut. There was a little negativity about me that time and I was really scared to come and show my original personality through ‘Dus Ka Dum’, but then I decided to come on TV. I felt that TV is the most powerful medium around, I asked my father whether I should do it because there will be the common man. I was scared of being me or who I am.”
