Police book four journalists of prominent newspapers for sexually exploiting female reporter

Police in Gurgaon have booked at least four journalists from different newspapers for sexually exploiting and defaming a female journalist of a national daily. The woman journalist had  filed an official complaint two days ago.

A case under several sections of the IPC have been filed. They include Sections 354, 354A, 354D and 72 IT Act among others. A report by Mirror Now said that while no arrests had been made yet, cops had launched a thorough investigation into the case.

One of the accused named in the complaint was sacked from his job on molestation charges around four months ago. The accused, according to the complaint, created fake social media accounts to send vulgar messages to the complainant.

These four journalists used their fake social media accounts to spread objectionable messages relating to the woman journalist in a bid to defame her.
