A Pakistani woman passenger, who was travelling to India via Samjhauta Express and was stopped at Jalandhar by railway police for not having valid documents, now says she made the visit partly because of her desire to meet Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
According to the 35-year-old woman, her name is Chanda and she hails from Karachi.
An escort of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), which was travelling in the train informed the Jalandhar railway police station that she was not having valid travelling documents including passport, ticket etc. A special train stoppage permission was obtained from the Ferozpur division and then she was made to deboard the train at Jalandhar.

“She was also saying that being a big fan of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan she also wanted to go to Mumbai to see him,” said SHO Baldev Singh Randhawa, adding that the woman seemed mentally disturbed from some of her acts.
“She was carrying a small bag and during the search of her bag we got not documents but some wraps of medicines,” said the SHO.
The lady also told police that she was travelling to India with her ‘Mamu’ (maternal uncle) and wanted to visit a dargah to seek blessings from the Almighty for having kids.
“We had sent her back to Attari Railway station last night at 2:00 am from where she had boarded the train to Delhi and GRP Attari is investigating the case,” added Randhawa.
