The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today slammed Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif’s for his accusations against India. Sharif had accused India of ‘creating instability’ through ceasefire violations and supporting militancy in different areas of Pakistan.
“To say such things to others is laughable. Pakistan should first think of how to tackle terrorism in their own country. They are nurturing terrorists in their country. Pakistan is a terrorist sponsoring country,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told news agency ANI.
While addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy, PNS Rahbar in Karachi’s Manora island, General Sharif had said that Islamabad has been willing to cooperate with other nations for peace but not at the cost of national interest, sovereign rights and national pride.
Earlier, former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf had indirectly threatened India stating that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons were not kept as fireworks for ‘Shab-e-Barat celebrations’ and were ready to be used against any provocation by other nations.
