Nine including 17-year-boy arrested by Maharashtra ATS for links with ISIS

Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorist Squad has reportedly arrested nine people from Mumbra and Aurangabad for their suspected links with the ISIS. Among those arrested is also a 17-year-old boy.

According to reports, these men have been arrested after a three-day-long raids by the ATS in Mumbra and Aurangabad. Asian Age website quoted a senior ATS source as saying, “So far, from the interrogation of the suspects and searches at various places, we suspect that they were involved in anti-state activities. Further investigation is on. We are still carrying out several searches at various places across the state.”

Some reports said that these nine men also believed to have links with Kerala-based outfit Popular Front of India.

News agency PTI quoted a senior ATS official as saying, “They were on the ATS radar for a few days for their activities. Questioning is underway.”
