PM Modi wishes Navjot Siddhu for recovery

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wished former cricketer and BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu a quick recovery.

Navjot Singh Sidhu is undergoing treatment for acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT) but his condition is stable.

Sidhu was on Tuesday admitted to city-based Indraprastha Apollo hospital after suffering an acute deep vein thrombosis, a deep clot in the blood vessel.

Modi’s tweet for Navjot Sidhu raises eyebrows as many people have criticised the PM for not speaking up on the killings of rationalists like Pansare, Kalburgi and increasing incidents of communal clashes like Dadri Lynching.

The Opposition parties have been asking the central government to clear its stand on the Dadri Lynching incident but the Prime Minister has chosen to remain silent on the subject.

His political detractors feel that one of the reasons behind Modi’s silence is because all suspects bar one in Dadri lynching case belonged to the family of local BJP leader Sanjay Rana.
