Miss World Manushi Chhillar is on a trip to Sanya in China, where the beauty queen took a few photos while planting trees before posting them on her social media page. In the photos, Manushi is seen planting trees with the help of a local person.
The caption of one of the photos read, “Had the privilege to plant my second tree in Sanya!
Today was a celebration of nature and respecting what it has given us, remembering our responsibility towards our planet.”
While many appeared overwhelmed by her stunning look and her designer outfit, the newly crowned Miss World was incessantly trolled by others. Those criticising Manushi were critical of her outfit while planting trees. There were also others, who thought she ought to have focussed on planting trees in India and not China.
One user wrote, “Imagine gardening with this kind of coiffed hair and cocktail dress.” Another user observed, “Not exactly the outfit for manual labour.” User Madhu asked, “Do u have to keep roaming around with the miss world sash? (sic)” User Aishwarya had a similar question, “Everyone u don’t need to tell u are miss world. (sic)” Useer Kreeti said, “Yeah yeah we all got that you are miss world. You don’t need tags around your middle or the crown.”
The 21-year-old beauty queen was crowned the Miss World 2017 in a global beauty contest held in Sanya in China last year. She was also named one of the five winners of the Beauty with a Purpose award at Miss World 2017 here on Saturday.
Manushi was also trolled recently after she posted a photo in a swimsuit from China.
Manushi, who hails from Haryana, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, and is also passionate about outdoor sports such as paragliding, bungee jumping, snorkelling and scuba diving.
