Mahatma Gandhi’s statue damaged in Patna

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Bihar’s capital Patna was damaged by some “anti-social elements”, triggering a protest by locals who demanded the administration take stern action, police said on Tuesday.

Patna police official Ashok Pandey said, “A white marble statue of Gandhiji was damaged… it appears to be an act of anti-social elements. Police have begun an investigation into the incident.”
