Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas has slammed the BJP for indulging in fake nationalism to extract political mileage by dividing the people along the religious lines.

Speaking exclusively with Rifat Jawaid, the editor-in-chief of www.jantakareporter.com, Vishwas said that the BJP wanted to establish ‘uniformity not unity’ in India.

He said, “A true Hindu or Muslim can never be fanatic. It was the Rigveda, where the word nation was first mentioned. The word Hindu doesn’t belong to our culture. Nationalism for BJP is proving to be another election jumla.

The recent debate over religious intolerance had given rise to conversation around nationalism with members of Sangh Parivar quickly likening the criticism of the BJP-led government to that of attack on nationalism.

Those who criticised the central government for growing religious intolerance under the current BJP government were labelled as anti-Indian. Celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan were asked to go to Pakistan by members of the ruling party in India.

Commenting on the recent Pathankot attack, Vishwas said that India should not have held talks with Pakistan as, according to him, it was a futile exercise.

  1. He is an idiot. Speaking eloquently will not change ground realities. Musharraf said, hum nuclear bombs shabebaraat mein phodne ke liye nahi banai. This guy wants a war with Pakistan? Friendship with Nepal, Bhutan, SriLanka? because they are small nations? You can do whatever you want with them? No wonder why Nepal is aligning with China. You can’t see eye to eye with SriLankans. Have you forgotten how the peaceful Buddhists 😉 massacred Tamils? You think you would have won Delhi elections without Muslim votes? If you speak like Neo BJPian, you’ll loose next elections. Muslims wants primarily security and equality in all avenues. Not 1.5% in IAS, 2% in IPS. Give them opportunity to grow. Create facilities and an atmosphere so where they can bloom. Don’t create ghettos. It will be difficult to handle Muslims in 50 years if this kind of attitude continues.
