Suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad on Friday launched a blistering attack against Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, calling him the ‘corrupt kind of DDCA(Delhi & District Cricket Association).’

Responding to his tweet that likened Congress President Rahul Gandhi to ‘Clown Prince,’ Azad tweeted, “Arun Jaitley world’s largest democracy must know who was corrupt king of DDCA? Who embezzled 400crs during ur presidentship? Minutes book of DDCA shows only once Resolution was passed for construction of stadium which was 24 crores. Where rest of 376 crores go? #KingOfCorruption”

Writing a blog to counter the charges of corruption in the Rafale deal, Jaitley had accused Rahul of lying. He wrote on Thursday, “You lied on the Rafale deal, you lied on the NPAs. Your temperament to concoct facts raises a legitimate question – do people whose natural preference is falsehood deserve to be a part of the public discourse. Public discourse is a serious activity.

“It is not a laughter challenge. It cannot be reduced to a hug, a wink or repetition of falsehood. The world’s largest democracy must seriously introspect whether public discourse should be allowed to be polluted by the falsehood of a ‘Clown Prince’.”

The former cricketer was suspended by party chief Amit Shah in December 2015 for publicly targeting the Finance Minister for “irregularities” in DDCA, of which Jaitley was the President for 13 years till 2013.

His expose through a video of DDCA AGM had rocked the Indian politics leading to his suspension from the party. In that video, Azad was seen pointedly blaming the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for supervising corruption and committing frauds.
