In a shocking development, one of Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan’s drivers has ended his life by suicide. Identified as Thejas, the driver was found dead at the drivers’ quarters near the Kerala Raj Bhavan complex.
According to news agency PTI, 48-year-old Thejas was found hanging inside his room at around 2 AM on Sunday. His colleagues reportedly stumbled upon a suicide note written by him on his WhatsApp status.
According to the Kerala Police, Thejas took the decision to end his life due to personal reasons.
“The body was found early today morning. After inquest proceedings, we will hand over the body to the relatives,” the news agency quoted the police as saying.
Thejas was believed to have been working as Khan’s driver after being sent on deputation from the tourism department.
