According to some media reports, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to meet President Pranab Mukherjee in order to seek his opinion on what action can be taken against Lt. Governor in the 2002 CNG fitness scam which took place under the Sheila Dikshit government.

Few days back, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Delhi decided to reopen the “2002 CNG fitness scam” in which former Chief Minsiter Sheila Dikshit’s government was alleged to have made special favours to companies issuing fitness certificates to CNG vehicles in Delhi.

The probe in the Rs 100 crore scam had hit a roadblock when ACB stated that it did not receive the case details to begin the probe.
Reacting to the reopening of the case, Congress leader PC Chacko said  that the AAP government was playing vendetta politics.

“It’s an old story. Now they are reopening it, I don’t know what is the procedure. It looks as a vendetta and there are no facts in the case. Kejriwal is known for raking up old issues, here is another one,” Chacko said.

The AAP led government in Delhi had raised the issue in December and had also slammed the ‘continuing silence’ of the central government and Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on the alleged indictment of top bureaucrats who were hand in glove in the scam.
