Video of a Kashmiri cop being tied by members of public and roughed up has gone viral on social media platforms. According to reports, the constable from Jammu and Kashmir Police was accused of taking photos of a local girl.
Fayyaz Lone, SSP Ganderbal, said that a girl had accused the cop of allegedly taking her photos.
“We’ve filed a case in this regard and immediately filed an FIR. The constable has been arrested. And law will take its course,” Lone said.
In the video, the constable can be seen being tied and roughed up while others are cheering. The girl had complained to police after she saw the cop in question taking her photos near Ganderbal bypass crossing.
