In an unexpected cabinet reshuffle, the Delhi government on Monday announced giving the additional charge of law ministry to law ministry to the deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia.
Sisodia will now replace Kapil Mishra, who was asked to look after this ministry after the Jitendra Tomar’s arrest in a fake degree case in June this year.
A Delhi government said there was nothing significant about this reshuffle describing it as a ‘routine matter.’
Sisodia became Delhi’s third law minister in six months.
This announcement set twiiter on fire with an overwhelming majority suspecting a foul play. The dominant theme of twitter conversation was that Mishra’s removal took place because of his letter to Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal. recommending actions against Sheila Dikshit, the former Delhi CM. (see the letter below.)
In that letter Mishra had stated, “I’m afraid that immediately after this expose, there will be attempts to destablize our government in Delhi and to remove me from this chair.”
Here are the snapshots of twitter conversation on Kapil Mishra’s ‘sacking.’
