Journalists in Kashmir protest against assault on colleague by PDP Minister’s security officials

Journalists in Kashmir today protested against the assault on one of their colleagues by the security officials of PDP minister Hanjura.

According to reports, a senior journalist and his wife were assaulted on Monday by policemen escorting the convoy of Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Hanjura.

The journalist was travelling in his car with his wife in the Bagh-e-Mehtab area of Srinagar when the personnel thrashed and abused them for not stopping as the minister’s convoy was passing.

According to reports, the personnel punched the journalist and misbehaved with his wife, despite him proving his identity.
