The Delhi Police Commissioner, Bhim Sain Bassi on Wednesday told a news agency that the documents pertaining to the fake degree controversy involving Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar are false.
Emphasizing that the procurement of such doucuments is a matter of concern, Bassi reportedly said, “The documents are false and now concern is who were the documents procured from.” He further added, “Those who helped him should be identified so that it will not have any bad impact on education system.”
SN Shukla, Media Incharge of Awadh University also told a news agency, “As per university documents, Pradeep Kumar filed RTI for verification of Jitendra Tomar’s marksheets & degree. After thorough investigation,University’s controller of examination released official letter to Pradeep Kumar with a reply that the role no. series mentioned in Tomar’s attached documents is bogus, and the degrees & marksheets are found fake.”
Tomar, who was arrested on Tuesday without any prior notice for an ‘alleged fake LLB degree‘, told a news agency, “My degree is real. This is a conspiracy by the Central Government.” He further assured the public that he would win the case and soon work with the party again. Following the arrest, Tomar also resigned from the party on ‘moral grounds’.
Delhi’s Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was taken to Faizabad college on Wednesday as a part of further investigation to validate the LLB degree following his arrest in the fake degree controversy.
