India crush Scotland in T20 World Cup, chase target in 6.2 overs

India on Friday crushed Scotland by eight wickets by finishing the match in 6.2 overs. This also enabled Virat Kohli’s side to surpass Afghanistan in the net run rate.

Batting first, Scotland were all out for 85 in 17.4 overs. Mohammad Shami and Ravindra Jadeja shared three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed one Scottish batsman.

India’s start was explosive when Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul came to bat. Rahul, who was out for 50, completed his half-century in just 18 balls. Sharma was out for 30, which he took just 16 balls to score.

Jadeja was adjudged Man Of The Match for his impressive bowling.
