“I’m giving Narendra Modi 72-hour ultimatum,” chilling words of martyred soldier Aurangzeb’s father as he shares last words of his son

The father of the martyred rifleman Aurangzeb Khan has given Prime Minister Narendra Modi 72-hour ultimatum to avenge his son’s brutal killing by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking to reporters, Aurangzeb’s father, Mohamamd Hanif, said, “These netas (politicians) particularly sitting in Srinagar are getting everyone killed. Whether they are from the BJP, NC (National Conference) or the Congress, these netas must be kicked out of Kashmir and an operation must start to root out (the terrorists) from here. I am giving Narendra Modi an ultimatum of 72 hours. If he can’t avenge my son’s killing, I will myself avenge Aurangzeb’s killing.”

Hanif also shared the last few words shared by his son, who had called the family before leaving for home to celebrate Eid. He was reportedly abducted just when he was on the phone with his father. According to his father, Aurangzeb, a devout Muslim and punctual with namaz, said, “don’t worry, I’m on my way home and will be there for Eid.” He was on his way home in Rajouri district to celebrate Eid when he was abducted by terrorists in Pulwana on Thursday and killed later.

Aurangzeb’s father said that he remained on the phone even after his son stopped talking, “All I heard was ‘stop the vehicle, stop the vehicle’ before there was no sound from the other end. It was because my son was abducted and taken into another vehicle,” Hanif said.

PM Modi has been facing condemnation for not tweeting or commenting on the killing of Aurangzeb, whose body was found by a team of police and Army at Gussu village, about 10 km away from Kalampora, in Pulwama district. He was shot in his head and neck, PTI reported quoting police officials.

Aurangzeb belonged to 4 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry and was posted at the 44 Rashtriya Rifles camp at Shadimarg in Shopian, they said.

Meanwhile, a video of Aurangzeb, which is believed to have been recorded moments before his killing, went viral on Friday in which he was seen being interrogated by the militants about encounters in which he had participated.

Aurangzeb, seen in blue jeans and t-shirt, is being asked by suspected Hizbul Mujahideen militants about his duties, posting and encounters in which he participated in 1.15 minutes video probably shot in a forest area. His killers then also ask him to name those who had ‘disrespected’ the dead bodies of their fellow terrorists after they were killed by the Indian army.
