The BMC has demolished the illegal construction of Shah Rukh Khan’s company, Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited. The civic body brought down the the energy saving solar panels in an area outside his office premises in Malad (West) in Mumbai.

A statement issued on behalf of Shah Rukh’s company said that they will take the matter up with the authorities concerned.

“Red chillies Vfx is a tenant and not the owner of the property mentioned. The building has an open area outside with seating which employees use for eating food that they get from home. It is not an operational canteen.

“The part which the BMC has demolished are the energy saving solar panels which provide clean energy to the entire Vfx building. Red Chillies Vfx is taking this up with the concerned authorities at the BMC,” IANS quoted the statement from Shah Rukh Khan’s company.

Officials at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have not commented yet on the matter.

Shah Rukh has had his share of run-in with the Mumbai’s civic body even in the past. In 2015, the BMC had demolished a ramp near his residence ‘Mannat’ at Bandra West which was also allegedly an illegal construction.
