GVL Narasimha Rao’s car kills one woman, BJP MP allegedly leaves spot instead of helping injured


A car belonging to BJP’s Rajya Sabha M P GVL Narasimha Rao has mowed down two women in Andhra Pradesh, killing one while leaving another seriously injured.

The incident happened between Guntoor and Vijayawada on Friday. The BJP MP, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, is alleged to have left the spot in another car instead of helping the injured. He even left his injured Toyota Innova car and the driver behind and did not even care to help the women with medical assistance.

According to reports, cops arrived later and transferred the injured to a hospital, where one of them succumbed to injuries. Narasimha Rao, who is the BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh, was inside the car, he confirmed in a tweet.

He wrote, “I was sleeping on a back seat when the incident happened. I was at the spot for 45 minutes until police came, injured woman was taken to hospital & a vehicle arrived to take the deceased lady to hospital. I will visit their families to express heartfelt condolences & all support.”

Rao’s driver has been reportedly taken into custody.
