The office of Anindo Majumdar, who was removed as principal secretary by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in a direct fallout of his row with the Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, has been sealed.

Majumdar was the officer who confirmed the appointment of IAS officer Shakuntala Gamlin as acting chief secretary. Gamlin`s promotion by the Lieutenant Governor was described by Kejriwal as blatant overreach.

Kejriwal has even sought the President`s intervention in the matter but he would have to wait till Wednesday since Pranab Mukherjee is currently on a tour of Uttarakhand.

Reacting to the current scenario, sources in the Delhi government told news agency ANI that the transfer and posting of officers under UT cadre and their work allocation comes under government of Delhi.
