Two sisters in Haryana have committed suicide after shooting themselves with their father’s pistol. According to police, the two sisters, aged 24 and 23, were found dead with bullet injuries on their heads at their house in Bhuna town of Fatehabad on Monday.
Quoting OP Narwal, Fatehabad SP, the Tribune India reported that the preliminary investigations had suggested Komal (24) and Shilpa (23) committing suicide with their father’s licensed pistol.
“Since gunshot residue has been found on hands of both the girls, the possibility of one killing the other and then committing suicide is ruled out,” said Narwal.
Narwal said Mahesh Raheja, girls’ father who’s a former sarpanch and a businessman, had gone to his shop and their mother, a teacher, had gone to school when they committed suicide.
He said the girls had not left any suicide note.
According to ABP News, the possible reason for their suicide could be the girls’ inability to find jobs despite ‘being adequately educated.’
Komal had M.Com degree while her sister Shilpa was an MBA graduate.
