FIR filed against John Abraham in Mumbai for cheating

Prernaa Arora’s KriArj Entertainment has filed an FIR in Mumbai’s Khar Police Station against actor John Abraham and his production house accusing them of cheating. In its police complaint, KriArj Entertainment said that it remained the sole owner of John Abraham-starrer Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.

A statement released by KriArj read, “FIR has been registered by Khar Police Station against John Abraham and his company JA Ent after criminal complaint was filed by Kriarj Entertainment for commission of various criminal offences including cheating , breach of trust , fraud , misappropriation of funds and copyright infringement due to John and his company duping KriArj Entertainment out of the crores of rupees invested by KriArj Entertainment towards the production of the film ‘Parmanu’.”

KriArj also alleged that John’s production house, JA Entertainment, had accepted Rs 30 crore from it towards the production of the film adding that the contract was terminated only after the latter failed to deliver the commitments.

Earlier JA Entertainment had accused KriArj of material breaches while justifying it decision to part ways with the co-producer of Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.

“Delay in payments/non-payments (from KriArj), have caused delays in the post-production work after the film’s principal shoot was completed by us in time and on schedule last year,” it had said.
