How dare you? Angry Farhan Akhtar asks BJP’s GVL Narasimha Rao on IQ remarks

Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has reacted angrily to the remarks made by the BJP’s GVL Narsimha Rao calling Bollywood artists people with low IQ.

Farhan, who is known for airing opinions on social issues, took to Twitter to ask Rao, ‘How dare you?” He also sought to draw the attention of those Bollywood artists who have either joined the saffron party or are the known supporters of the BJP.

His tweet read, “How dare you, sir?? @GVLNRAO. And to all film people in his ranks.. here’s what he thinks of you. #shame.”

Speaking on Times Now, while taking part in a debate on the raging Mersal controversy, Rao had said, “In any case, most our film stars have a very low IQ. Very low general knowledge.”

Rao’s party had reacted angrily to the references of GST in the Tamil film Mersal. Times Now was debating the topic with Rao and Congress supporter Tehseen Poonawalla. It was during the debate when Rao made the disparaging observation about Bollywood artists.

Several top Bollywood names are known sympathisers of the BJP and they include Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashoke Pandit and Ajay Devgn to name a few. Hema Malini is the BJP’s MP from Mathura. Her husband Dharmendra too has represented the saffron party in Lok Sabh from Bikaner in Rajasthan.

Late Vinod Khanna was the BJP’s MP from Gurdaspur fro several years. Union Minister Smriti Irani too was a known actor in Mumbai before trying her luck in politics with the BJP.
