Rarely has one seen a spark of sanity from the newly appointed US President, Donald Trump, ever since he moved into the White House last month. His critics have always slammed him for continuously causing disrepute to the US President’s office through his ill-timed and intemperate social media rants.
Latest in the series is his tweet targetting an independent business house for its decision to drop Trump’s daughter Ivanka’s clothing line.
An enraged Trump took to Twitter to slam Nordstrom Inc for its decision to drop his daughter’s clothing line.
He wrote, “My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by Nordstrom,” Trump wrote. “She is a great person – always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!”
My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!

He didn’t stop here. Trump then used the official Twitter handle of the US President, @POTUS, to retweet his original post.
Trump’s rant came even as Nordstrom clarified that the company’s decision was related to continuous drop in sales for Ivanka’s clothing line.
In a statement, the company had said, “We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance. In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”
In November, as reported by New York Times, Nordstrom had defended its decision to sell Ivanka’s brands.
It had said, “We hope that offering a vendor’s products isn’t misunderstood as us taking a political position.”
As expected, Trump’s outrage did not go down well with social media users, who felt that that the billionaire businessman-turned-politician had touched a new low through his latest action.

Ivanka's clothin' line failed because the folks that wanted to buy 'em couldn't find the Nordstrom's department at Wal-Mart.

That awkward moment when Ivanka divests her business and then Donald Trump is mad Nordstrom dropped the products she supposedly doesn't own.

The craziest party of Trump’s Nordstrom tweet is that he admits w/ out Ivanka pushing him, he wouldn’t do the right thing.
