A tweet by Delhi police informing social media users about planned protests against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has become controversial topic of discussion.
The tweet by Delhi Police in question has come under criticism also because it’s been allegedly posted from Goa.
Among those who’ve slammed the city cops for its tweet are primarily Aam Aadmi Party leaders, who the police has been at loggerheads since Kejriwal’s election as Delhi chief minister in February last year.
The AAP leaders have also questioned the police’s motive behind providing details of the protest in its tweet.
Delhi Police recently launched three twitter handles and since then has been using these handles to inform people in the capital about crime and traffic related developments.
But, the tweet above, had details of protest against the AAP government, but no information on its impact on traffic and the police’s subsequent plan to deal with the problem.
Journalist Manak Gupta pointed out;
Why should @DelhiPolice tweet political details of a protest? With no mention of a traffic warning at all. @dilipkpandey

Gupta’s tweet was in response to the AAP leader, Dilip Pandey’s question on why the Delhi Police had not tweeted about their protests against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in DDCA corruption case.
