Supreme Court on Tuesday said that the defamation case filed by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will continue.
The apex court, according to NDTV, rejected Kejriwal’s request stay the criminal defamation case.
This came after a Delhi court in May rejected the plea of Delhi chief minister seeking a stay in a criminal defamation case filed against him by the finance minister.
Jaitley had filed both criminal and civil defamation cases against Kejriwal and five other Aam Aadmi Party leaders seeking Rs 10 crore worth damages in allegations of corruption in DDCA, where the former was the president for 13 years till 2013.
