BJP President Amit Shah is known to be a hard working politician and spends most of his time travelling across India to boost his party’s chances in elections. If he’s not campaigning for his party, he’s often on the move to build organisations by addressing his party’s grassroot workers.
However, social media users have begun raising questions on his health after the BJP President fell off during his election campaign twice in as many days. First, Shah fell on the ground while alighting out of his helicopter in Mizoram. The cincident took place on Thursday as he reached the Tlabung village in West Tuipui constituency to campaign for his party.
The video of Shah lying on the ground was widely shared on YouTube including by media channels such as Northeast Now and India Today group’s Lallantop website.
Although, Shah appeared to be unhurt in the accident as he got up with help of his assistant and removed the dust from his dress, the BJP President had similar episode in store for him two days later.
On Saturday, Shah fell off the stage during an election rally in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. The video of Shah falling off the stage went viral on social media platforms in no time. The incident reportedly took place in Ashok Nagar in Madhya Pradesh.
Although, detractors of Shah and his party, the BJP, were quick to poke fun at his misery, there were many, who expressed genuine concerns on his health. One user asked, “Is it just a coincidence that Shah has lost control and fallen down? He should see a doctor urgently.” Another user on YouTube asked if his party’s decision to ‘overuse’ him was finally taking its toll on Shah.
Assemly elections have either taken place or due in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, Mizoram and Chhattisgarh. Results of these states will set the tone for the next year’s Lok Sabha polls, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be seeking a second term in office.
