Class 1 student stabbed in Lucknow school, critically injured

In a shocking development a Class 1 student of a local school in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow was stabbed by an unidentified girl student leaving him critically injured.

IANS quoted local police saying that the Class 1 student, identified as Hrithik, was found bleeding profusely and unconscious at Brightland school in Triveni Nagar on Tuesday.

School Principal Reena Manas said the crime occurred after the morning assembly and that the boy was admitted to the Trauma Centre at King George’s Medical University.

The victim, for his part, has reportedly blamed a ‘didi,’ who, according to him, had taken him to the bathroom, thrashed him, and before stabbing him with a knife. The girl, he said, had ‘boy-cut hairstyle’ adding that he could identify the girl.

There was no CCTV camera near the washroom area, said the school officials.

According to local media, the incident took place in Aliganj area of the state capital. The attacker is believed to be a Class VII student.

News agency UNI reported that the Hrithik was from Brightland Scool in Lucknow and police had filed a First Information Report at the Aliganj police station against unidentified student.
