A day after Hindutva fanatics targeted school children in Haryana’s Gurgaon, many private schools in the city and around decided to shut their educational institutions on Thursday.
Photo: Indian ExpressAt least four top private schools announced holiday on Thursday in view of more violent attacks by the terrorists belonging to Rajput Karni Sena. In Noida, almost all private schools advised the students to stay at home. They included, Delhi Public School, Shri Ram Millennium and Presidium among others.
One school’s message sent to parents in the early hours of Thursday morning said, ” Dear Parent, Keeping in mind the safety and security of the children, the school will remain closed as a precautionery measure on Thursday i.e. 25-Jan-2018.”
“If they can attack school buses and Haryana roadways buses openly despite prohibitory orders and tight security arrangements of the Gurgaon Police, we cannot take a chance,” a teacher was quoted by NDTV.
The video of frightened students crouching inside their school bus as the terrorists smashed the window glasses before burning another government bus had gone viral. The video had evoked angry reactions from the members of civil society, actors and politicians from the opposition parties.
Noted among them was actor Farhan Akhtar, who wrote, “Attacking a school bus is not an agitation. It is terrorism. The people who did it are terrorists. Please refer to them as such.”
Can I just say Karni Sena was very much a bunch of criminals even if they hadn't attacked a school bus? The pretend voices from cowardly BJP supporters condemning them NOW, after the school bus, were silent when they beat up the film crew & offered bounties for beheading.

Apparently the Karni Sena attacked a school bus full of kids, so the question is, how long before they get elected to political office?

Dear #middleclass India, Hooliganism, vandalism, lynching, violence in the name of #religion & #caste is yours to fight too. #KarniSena attack on #Gurgaon school bus is one example. Stop being passive about atrocities against #Dalits, #Muslims & everyone marginalized. Stand up.

Any state govt that doesn't immediately put behind bars the Karni goons who attacked a school bus of kids is absolutely complicit in the hooliganism and unworthy of being in administration #Padmaavat

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday how he was unable to sleep after he watched the video of children being incredible distress due the terror attack by Karni Sena goons.
Later, known Hindutva trolls had published the phone numbers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Kashyap on social media platforms while encouraging their supporters to call and abuse the filmmakers.
