In a fresh twist to the alleged assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, his medical report claims that he was attacked by AAP MLAs after midnight on Tuesday.
The medical report (see below) reads, “Assault after 12.00 midnight (in the intervening night of 19th/20th Feb at CM residence as told by patient himself.”
However, the CCTV footage released from the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shows Prakash leaving the premises at 11.30 PM on Wednesday night. (See below)
Such anomaly is only possible if the CCTV footage has been doctored or Prakash returned to Kejriwal’s residence for the second time after having left the first time. Or the man claimed by AAP leaders as Delhi’s chief secretary is not him in the CCTV footage.
Praksh, a 1986-batch IAS officer, had filed a police complaint on Tuesday. In his police complaint filed to DCP (North), Prakash had claimed that he was called by the CM’s advisor at 11.30 PM.
“The advisor (to CM) had called me around 11:30 pm (last night) to confirm that I had left for the meeting. Thereafter, I left my residence in my official car… and reached CM’s residence at midnight… I was taken to the front room where Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 11 MLAs were present.”
Delhi Police have already arrested two AAP MLAs based on Prakash’s complaint. Delhi’s Tess Hazari Court on Wednesday had rejected the police’s plea for a two-day custody. The court had instead sent Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal to judicial custody till Thursday.
