Senior Samajwadi leader and a cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh government, Azam Khan, has taken a dig at Ramdev for his controversial statement on beheading those who refused to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai.

Khan, who’s currently in Australia, issued a statement mocking the self-proclaimed baba of his cowardice reminding how he had fled from Delhi’s Ramlila ground in women’s clothes in 2011.

His statement read, “How a person who had fled from Ramlila Ground (in Delhi) by putting on a woman’s dress can talk of beheading those raising dissenting voices.

According to a PTI report, Khan alleged that Ramdev was “busy in spoiling the congenial atmosphere in accordance with agenda of BJP and RSS.”

Ramdev on Sunday had issued chilling warning to cut hundreds and thousands of heads of those who refused to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai if constitution allowed him.

“If somebody says that “even if you cut off my head, I wont say Bharat Mata Ki Jai. I want to say there is a rule of law & we respect constitution otherwise we can cut off hundreds and thousands of heads,” he was quoted by ANI.

On Monday twitter users took to microblogging site to register their outrage against the self-proclaimed Baba.
