Days before the floor test in the Uttarakhand assembly, a new sting accusing the deposed chief minister Harish Rawat of luring legislators with money has emerged.

Reports suggested that the Congress MLA allegedly taking part in the conversation in the video was Madan Bisht, considered to be close to tRawat and rebel legislator, Harak Singh Rawat.

The BJP has been quick to launch attack  on Rawat with some leaders even contemplating the idea of seeking judicial intervention in the fresh sting.

However, Rawat has accused the BJP of blackmailing.

He said, “I am being kept under surveillance as if I am an anti-national.The Centre and its BJP government is spreading divisive politics, after May 10 we will start a campaign against these blackmailers. Our MLAs and leaders are getting threatening messages from conduits who are posing as relatives, well-wishers and acquaintances.”

The Supreme court has suspended President’s Rule for 2 hours on Tuesday for the trust vote. It has also disqualified the 9 rebel Congress legislators who have been disqualified by the Speaker. In the reduced assembly 62 down from 71, Harish Rawat needs the support of 32 lawmakers to prove his majority.
