In a shameful and shocking development, right-wing goons on Wednesday attacked a school bus, full of children in Haryana’s Gurgaon.
The video of frightened children and their attendants crouching for cover has gone viral on social media platforms. It’s not clear if the goons belonged to the militant Hindutva group, Rajput Karni Sena.
The conductor of the bus told India Today that there were around 50-60 youth with their faces covered adding that they had already set another bus on fire. They were allegedly protesting against Padmaavat’s release, scheduled for 25 January.
The school bus attacked in the video below was from GD Goenka Public School. Another bus belonging to Haryana Roadways was also set on fire by the goons earlier in the day. Haryana’s BJP government had decided to ban the film’s release in the state, but its decision was quashed by the Supreme Court.
