Afghanistan cricket team stunned the group leaders West Indies in their last group match in the ongoing World T20 match in Nagpur.

They beat West Indies by 6 runs before signing off from the competition.

Batting first, Afghanistan scored 123 runs with Najibullah Zadran playing an unbeaten knock of 48 runs.

West Indies, who had secured semi-final spot before today’s game, fell short short of 6 runs in the end scoring 117 for 8 in 20 overs. With 28, Dwayne Bravo was the top scorer for his side.

For Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan claimed two wickets each.

Najibullah was also a star for his spectacular catch, which sealed the match in favour of Afghanistan.

He was declared man of the match for his superb catch, which dismissed Carlos Brathwaite, who was looking incredibly dangerous and had just hit a massive six in the previous over.
