Aam Aadmi Party’s student wing has decided to launch its Delhi University’s election campaign in a style by inviting several high-profile Bollywood artists to the campus.
On Tuesday, the Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti, is scheduled to organised a special event in the campus, where Bollywood music director, Vishal Dadlani, TV artist, Raghu Ram and singer Shilpa Rao will be performing.
Billed as DU Rocks, the CYSS is will officially launch its election campaign. This is the first time AAP is making entry into DU politics.
On Sunday, the party announced its list of candidates for the DU elections.
Garima Rana and Rahul Raj Aryan (both from Hindu College), Kuldeep Bidhuri of PGDAV (Morning) College and Hitanshi Chauhan from Satyavati College (Morning) will contest DU elections on CYSS panel.
Announcing the list, the CYSS president, Anupam Kumar had said, ” Anupam said,” We are a student organization with Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal’s ideals in mind. We stand for clean politics. Students in the campus are really attracted towards the idea of clean politics that CYSS stands for. Our selfie campaigns generated a very enthusiastic response. We have got internal surveys done and the results show that we have an edge over the competition.”
