AAP MLA, Amanatullah Khan, has been suspended from the party for speaking against Kumar Vishwas, reported News 18 quoting the Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia.
ABP News reported that Vishwas was amde in-charge of the party’s Rajasthan affairs.
AAP has also formed a three-member committee to investigate the allegations made by Khan against Vishwas.
This was after Aam Aadmi Party’s crisis meeting at the residence of Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, prolonged with senior members of the party being present.
Meanwhile, NDTV reported that Kumar Vishwas had put forth three ‘conditions’ before the party leadership with one of them being the reported pressure from some leaders to apologise for his video on nationalism.
In a video posted immediately after some CRPF jawans were being manhandled by youth in Kashmir, Vishwas had appealed to Indians to rally behind the soldiers.
His video was shared by Kejriwal, who had confessed how the content touched the core of his heart.
Vishwas, according to the channel, also wanted action taken against the Okhla MLA, Amanatullah Khan, who had made sensational allegation that the former was a BJP agent.
Meanwhile, the Delhi BJP president, Manoj Tiwari, on Wednesday praised Vishwas for always raising his voice for the country and soldiers.
AAP is facing a crisis after Vishwas threatened to quit over the attacks on him by a “coterie” surrounding the AAP convener.
At yesterday’s meeting with Kejriwal, Vishwas had reportedly insisted that stern action be taken against Okhla MLA Amantullah Khan, who had accused him of being a RSS-BJP agent and plotting a coup in the party, sources said.
Khan had on Monday resigned from the party’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC).
Vishwas had accused Khan of being a mask and acting at the behest of a coterie surrounding Kejriwal.
After the emotional outburst, Vishwas had threatened to quit the party.
The chief minister and deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia had visited Vishwas s Ghaziabad residence late in the night to pacify him. The three, along with party leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh, then went to Kejriwal s residence.
