Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has tested positive for COVID-19 and reportedly been place in self-isolation at home in Mumbai. The news of Aamir testing positive for coronavirus was confirmed by his spokesperson. Meanwhile, its has emerged that Kiara Advani was likely to undergo a test to see if she too was COVID-19 positive.
“Mr. Aamir Khan has tested positive for Covid 19. He is at home in self quarantine, following all the protocols and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern,” Aamir Khan’s spokesperson was quoted as saying.
Actor Kiara Advani, who was shooting with Aamir for a commercial, is expected to test herself for COVID-19.
Last year in June, Aamir had revealed how some of his staff members had tested positive for COVID-19.
Aamir had recently stunned everyone by announcing that he had quit social media. Hours later, his Twitter and Instagram accounts had disappeared. He had written in a statement, “Hey guys, thank you so much for all the love and warmth on my birthday. My heart is full. In other news, this is going to be my last post on social media. Considering that I am SO active anyway I have decided to drop the pretence.”
