A viral video has emerged of a four-year-old being forced to drink liquor by his uncle in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvannamalai district. Two persons were arrested on Monday in connection with the incident.

Police are still looking for four other men that were seen in the video, which was filmed last month by another accused.

When the video of the incident in Mel Cholankuppam village went viral on WhatsApp and social media, it prompted police to take action.

“We are interrogating both of them. We need to interrogate the other four as well. This has happened two weeks ago. We are also speaking to the parents. The boy is fine now,” DSP M Ganesan, said.

The men have been charged under attempt to murder and the Juvenile Justice Act. The camera used for filming the incident has been seized along with a motorbike.

“It’s a serious charge. We would ensure tough actions are filed against them and they are brought to justice,” said a police officer.
